Bhutanese Ambassador Calls on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir

Ambassador of Bhutan to Bangladesh Dasho Karma Hamu Dorjee called on the State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Bhutanese Ambassador congratulated the State Minister on his appointment.

During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral issues of mutual interest. State Minister expressed Bangladesh’s keen interest to contribute to the development of the Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) of Bhutan, particularly by providing professionals, skilled and semi-skilled human resources. Recalling the vision of Late President Ziaur Rahman, State Minister requested Bhutan’s support for the revitalization of SAARC for the collective benefit of the region and peoples.

Bhutanese Ambassador conveyed the deep appreciation for the warm welcome extended to His Majesty the King of Bhutan by the gracious presence of President of Bangladesh during his brief stopover at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka on 26 August 2026. She also expressed her gratitude for the support of the Foreign Ministry in discharging her responsibilities.
